Zachariah Wright is a DAR Patriot Ancestor, A131065.

Zachariah Wright performed Patriotic Service in North Carolina in the American Revolution.

Zachariah Wright. ^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]}was born about 1762 Maryland, United States. ^[8] to Isaac Wright and Mary Richardson. His father died in 1772 and he was mentioned in the will. Zacariah performed patriotic service during the revolutionary war when he was a teenager.

In 1787 Zacariah bought land on the banks of Moon Creek in Caswell County from John Ingram^[9]. In 1787 he sold land ajoining John Richardson to Lawence Richardson, probably a maternal relative^[10]. In 1790 he was living in Caswell, North Carolina and that year he sold some of the land he had bought to Alexander Porter.^{[11] [12]} In 1792 he sold what was probably the rest of his land to Alexander Porter, Zebedee Hicks and Alexander Norels^[13]. All his deeds were signed with and x indicating he had never learned to write. He married 'Polly Hayes on 24 DEC 1793. in Caswell. ^[14][15] In 1800 he was living in Hallifax, Warren, North Carolina. ^[16] They were living in Grayson Virginia in 1820-1840 ^{[17] [18] [19]}. In 1850 he and his wife were living in Carroll VA ^[20].
