Zachariah Wright performed Patriotic Service in North Carolina in the American Revolution.
Zachariah Wright. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]was born about 1762 Maryland, United States. [8] to Isaac Wright and Mary Richardson. His father died in 1772 and he was mentioned in the will. Zacariah performed patriotic service during the revolutionary war when he was a teenager.
In 1787 Zacariah bought land on the banks of Moon Creek in Caswell County from John Ingram[9]. In 1787 he sold land ajoining John Richardson to Lawence Richardson, probably a maternal relative[10]. In 1790 he was living in Caswell, North Carolina and that year he sold some of the land he had bought to Alexander Porter.[11][12] In 1792 he sold what was probably the rest of his land to Alexander Porter, Zebedee Hicks and Alexander Norels[13]. All his deeds were signed with and x indicating he had never learned to write. He married 'Polly Hayes on 24 DEC 1793. in Caswell. [14][15] In 1800 he was living in Hallifax, Warren, North Carolina. [16] They were living in Grayson Virginia in 1820-1840 [17][18][19]. In 1850 he and his wife were living in Carroll VA [20].

Nancy Wright (1809-1878) married Charles S Smith and stayed in Carroll County
