Hi, Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you will run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page. Sandy ~ WikiTree Mentor

Hello,

Thank you for signing the Honor code. Collaboration, accurate information and good sources are the basis for a great WikiTree.

By signing the Honor Code you're telling others you are a responsible Wiki genealogist.

Feel free to ask me via my profile page if you have any questions.

Have a nice journey on Wikitree,

Guy - Wikitree Mentor / Leader

Welcome! Thanks for 2nd note. You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add profiles to WikiTree. Also please add sources to each of your new profiles.Even if you're just a casual family historian recording family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from.

If you need any help getting started, check out the help section from the menu, top left, or head over to the G2G forum. You might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Hi Melanie. Thanks for the note.

Just wanted to share this: Our help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.

Also are you willing to add your family profile pages and some sources?? Even if you're just a casual family historian recording family history, you will be helping future genealogists by listing where the information you've added came from.

*If so, please post another message, here on your profile page, to that effect and I will be happy to confirm and welcome you to our Wikitree family.
