Notice you have been doing some corrections on place names. The correct form is actually; place name, Canada, Nouvelle-France. Not: place name, Nouvelle-France, Canada. See Quebecois project guidelines. Thanks.
We are long lost cousins! We are 7th cousins once removed through Antoine Landry and Marie Thibodaux. Their children and grandchildren were separated by the Grand Derangement. Your family members ended up in Quebec, while mine ended up in southern Louisiana. I'd be curious to know if we have any common DNA. My dad matches a lot of Acadian descendants that never left Canada. It's amazing. That DNA got very concentrated after all of the cousins marrying in those generations in l'Acadie.
Thank you for suggesting the merging of Jean & Clement ? Cote. I think they may be brothers & not the same person. I need to do more work on this before merging. Diane Leroux
