Name: Peter /Daniels/^[1]

Peter Daniels (aka Daniell or Daniel) Sr. was born in Over Tabley, Cheshire, England, in 1554. He was the son of Thomas Daniels, Jr., Esq. and Alice (Dutton) Daniels. The family were gentry, established locally in Over Tabley since 1300, and had a long record of local judicial service to the Crown in Cheshire.^{[2] [3][4]}

Peter Daniels / Daniell Sr. married Anna Mainwaring, b: 1559 in Over Tabley, Cheshire, in 1576. She was the daughter of Henry de Mainwaring and wife Mary Ellen (Venables) Mainwaring; also of the social gentry class in the Palatinate County of Cheshire.^[5] The couple had the following 10 children: ^[6]

Peter Daniels Sr., died in Eaton, Cheshire, England on August 3, 1590; he was 35 years old. His wife purchased his wardship to be certain it would be inherited by his son, Peter Daniels, Jr., whom she had educated at Oxford and Gray's Inn (Law School) in London. ^[8]
