Biography

Florence was born in 1888, the first child of Frederick Oehrli and Sallie Lloyd Pierce. By 1910 she was working as a clerk for a newspaper. She worked in this position until at least 1915. Until her marriage, she continued to live with her parents at 618 West Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, USA.

She married C. Chester Easton in about 1916. Their children included:

1. Dick Delos Easton (1919-2005)
2. Elwood W. Easton (1921-1921) - stillborn on 30 June
3. Lois Ella Easton (1927-1997) - unmarried
4. Elva Mae Easton (1929-aft.1975) - unmarried

In 1920 Chester was working as a laborer for the electric company. Florence was a housewife and did not return to the workforce. They were living with their first child in Armstrong Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. By 1930, Chester was an operator for the power and light company. They had two more children and had moved to 333 Bayard Street, South Williamsport. In 1940 Chester was now an operating engineer for the utility company, son Dick was working as a private chauffeur, and Florence was at home with two young daughters.

The family attended Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 Howard Street, South Williamsport.

Florence died in 1975 and was buried in Montoursville Cemetery, Montoursville, Lycoming, County, Pennsylvania. At this time, Chester and both unmarried daughters were living at home on Bayard Street. Son Dick was living in Montoursville, Pennsylvania.
