Biography

Hazel was born in 1901, a daughter of Frederick Oehrli and Sallie Lloyd Pierce.

In 1920 she was living in her parents’ home and working as a weaver in a silk mill. In 1930 through at least 1940, she was an “inmate” at the State Hospital for Insane, Mahoning Township, Montour County, Pennsylvania. She remained unmarried.

She died in 1991 and was buried in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, USA.
