Biography

Ethel was born in 1896, a daughter of Frederick Oehrli and Sallie Lloyd Pierce. At the age of 23 in 1920, she was living with her parents in South Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania and was not working. However, the following year she had moved to Philadelphia and was working as a registered nurse at Episcopal Hospital. ^[1]

By 1930 she had moved as a lodger to Stephen Rosbert's home in Upper Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. By 1935 Stephen had died, and she had moved with his family to 1501 57th Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was still a registered nurse, now working in private homes.

Ethel remained unmarried. Later residences in Philadelphia included 715 E Church Land and 3901 Conshohocken Avenue, Apartment M29. ^[2]

Ethel died at the age of 97 in 1994 in Bryn Mawr, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. She was returned to Lycoming County and buried with her family in Wildwood Cemetery, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
