PS If you add your surname and other surnames/locations you are researching to your tags, you can connect to other members researching those names/places. The more of these clickable tags you add (20 max.) that include surnames, locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more connections you will make and maybe find a few cousins! To add tags, use this link. This page will help you learn more about tags.

Thank you for welcoming me to WikiTree. I had been a member and had a large tree. I had not been able to work with my tree for a long time and my membership had been closed. I'm trying to find my tree and I've found a few of the profiles I had created but I'm having trouble. There was a profile that stated it is a half sibling which I believe it is probably my old profile. It showed that closed member was owner of that profile and I wrote to them. I now see that half sibling is no longer there. I just don't see the previous profile ID. Is there any way to find out what that ID was? It would save me a lot of work rebuilding my tree. Thanks, Jeanette
Looks like you have been reconnected to your old profile and tree. Hope that resolves the issue. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Peggy

On behalf of the US Southern Colonies Project Leaders, I am doing a six-month check-in with members to see if you were Active in US Southern Colonies?
1) Have you joined other Southern Colonies Subprojects, such as Southern_Pioneers Project. Or other projects?
2) Your activity in Southern Pioneers Project. Do you want to retain the Southern Colonies badge?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Mary ~ Volunteer Coordinator
We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Many thanks,
Susie
Im Susie the new leader of the England Project. We are contacting all existing members of the project to find out how you are currently involved, and how you would like to be involved moving forward. Please have a look at the England Project page for more information, and then contact either myself or Gillian to let us know what youd like to do, or if you have any questions. We can then list your interests, help you join the team in the Google group forum for England, and give you any help you might need to get going. If we dont hear back from you well assume you no longer want to be a part of the England Project at this time.
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,
Susie :-)
Williams Parents Randolph and Charity Adkins and others family members came to the area of Montgomery Co., VA in the late 1700s. Ref. Ronnie Adkins Book. This area was included in the formation of Giles Co. in 1806.
In the 1810 Giles Co. Census Parkers age is listed as greater than 45 and children with ages that match those reported by others, except for 3 females ages 16-266, , It is assumed that the male age 10-16 is William. Ref In the 1815 Giles Co. Tax lists provides information on their location. The tax collector listed his location each day. His census date for March 21, 1815, Sinking Creek & South Side of Johns Creek Mountain and Salt Pond Mountain, New River; Champ, Hezekiah, Jacob, John, Joseph, Moses and Parker..
The marriage of William and the location of his Father Parker is of interest. Parker and son William were living in Giles in 1810. Parker and Charity went to Cabell about 1810-1812. Williams daughter Elizabeths marriage certificate indicate she was born in Giles in 1817. The 1820 Cabell Census indicates that sometime before 1820 they joined the other Adkins in Cabell Co. It appears from census data and county formation dates that William settled in a part of Cabell that became Logan, then Boone and Then Lincoln County. Question? Why didnt William go with his Father to Cabell

Glad you are feeling better.
Re: Adkins-32 & Adkins-2827 merge
Your collection of sources do confirm they are the same person. The resulting merged profile will be an improvement. Thank you for your research.
