Thanks for appreciating this WikiTree free page 'article' - I'm happy to see it being used as it took me quite some time and effort to compile it. I added your source to the reading list below.

Philip, No thank you for having such a great historical page.  I was looking for a free space page for Huguenots, and yours seemed like the right fit for what I'd found.  Your document "Persecution of Huguenots" is written very well.  You captured a lot of details and background, and for those that have no idea the who's or whys of them, your article will definately answer some historical questions.

Thank you for adding the source.  smiley

I am just now exploring the Huguenot materials in the space and available on WikiTree, which are all very useful.

If anyone is interested, Vol 1 of the Agnew publication is also available for free as a download:

I also suggest that you look at the website for the National Huguenot Society, the Huguenot Society of America, the Huguenot Society of South Carolina, and Descendants of the Huguenots of Mannikin in Virginia. And take a deep dive into the website of the Huguenot Society of London. They published numerous huge series of journals with well-researched genealogical material.

Thank you! I have only found a record book about the earlier Huguenot's that fled France. They went to Canterbury, Kent, England during the reign of Elizabeth I The Registers of Wallons or Strangers Church of Canterbury

There is an English author, Robin Gwynn, who has written a very enlightening three volume set of Huguenots in England, and I believe volume two includes tiny biographies of parishioners and of pastors. When I was librarian of my state Huguenot Society, we donated a number of his books to Genealogical Library’s around the state. he has done a great deal of research. His books are not cheap, but if you can find them in a library near you (try worldcat.org), you may be able to find more of what you’re looking for. He’s written quite a few books on Huguenot history, and you can look up what he has written on Amazon for information.
