Looking for information on Richard "Dickey" Brook, bapt. 26 Nov 1775, buried 10 Jul 1853, lived his life at Edge End in Crosland Edge, South Crosland, Yorkshire, England. Parents Richard Brook and Susannah Wood. In particular, I want to know who his wife was. We know she was named Mary, and was the mother of at least 5 of his 6 children. Most family trees show her as Mary Lister, and cite a marriage record of 12 June 1812 at St Mary, Mirfield. However, this record appears (if I read it right) to state that Richard was a resident of the parish of Leeds, and that seems to me rather improbable, so I think this marriage more likely refers to a different Richard Brook. Would love to know if anyone has any information on this.
