Benjamin McIntosh married to Katherine Haddix. Children list mother as Katy Fugate on death certificates?

Question

I have run into a dilemma regarding Katherine(Catherine) Haddix being the mother of my 2nd great grandmother, Isabella McIntoshb.1850 Breathitt Co. Kentucky (Mullins). 2 of Katharines children list Katy Fugate b. 1820 Troublesome, Ky. as their mother on their death certificates but all the census records I can find say he was married to Katherine Haddix.
