Welcome to WikiTree, Vincent. You have come to what I think is the best place on the internet to work together to form one large tree. Be sure to let your Greeter know if you have any questions about how to upgrade.

I'm going to edit your post to add some tags for the Vincent surname and locations. That will help get the attention of those knowledgable about the family and location.

I look forward to seeing your twig grow within the branches of WikiTree.

Hey Vincent,

Welcome to G2G. You are currently a guest member. If you upgrade for free you can start adding your ancestors and create a connection to the tree.

At WikiTree we can never discuss living people; the only way to know if people are related is by building your sourced link to the tree and then use the connection finder.

Vincent: Pierre Vincent (1631-1682) has a profile on WikiTree at: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Vincent-392. His wife and six children also have profiles on WikiTree. I hope that you decide to create profiles of your parent and grandparents and connect them to Pierre Vincent's descendants. In that way, you may be able to find other WikiTree members who are descended from common ancestors. Anne

A brief  heritage summary:

Joseph1 petitioned for a return to Canada in 1766 for 7 members of the Vincent family, after Le Grand Dérangement (1755-1764). They moved to Yamachiche near Trois Rivieres. Joseph2 married Marie Trahan (Landry) in 1781 at St. Anne's.

Charles1 (descended from Joseph2, Joseph1, Pierre3, Pierre3, Pierre2, Pierre1) was born January 7 in 1810 and baptized in the family parish, St. Anne's. Joseph3 Vincent (1810-1878) settled as a farmer in Hillier Township, Prince Edward County and married Sarah Wilder (182?-1851) in 1851. Ten years prior, he served in the Prince Edward Militia under Colonel James Wilkins.

Joseph and Sarah had 3 children, among them are my maternal great-great-grandmother, Mary Elizabeth (1842-1936).

Joseph3 then married Mary Kirse from Vellana Bay, County Clare, Ireland. Mary Elizabeth Vincent married James McCaffrey in 1861 at Wellington, Ontario and moved to Simcoe County Ontario. They had 12 children. My great-grandmother, Mary Emma (Minnie) Vincent was among them.

She married Tom Smith in 1898 and passed away in 1943, the year my mother, Alice Smith-Dumond, named me Vincent in honour of my Acadian heritage. Vincent Dumond
