Hi!  My name is Leisha Sweetman Mattingly and I am trying to verify a story that has been handed down in my family for several generations. My grandmother related all her life that she was a descendant of the famed Daniel Boone.  I have got as far as a possible link through Mary Boone Warner, daughter of Wynkoop Warner and Minerva S. Boone. My father recently had a DNA test and it revealed he was related to Daniel Boone.   If you have any information about Mary Boone Warner, born 1822 in Missouri, please let me know. The story goes that my great grandfather, Wade Boone Hall b. 1867 Cleburne, TX C d. 1934 Gordon, Tx, was Mary's son. His father (Mary Boone Warner Hall's husband) is John H. Hall b. 1832 d. 1876.  Parents died when their children were young, raised by the Lovelady family, Cleburne, Tx.

I used to love to watch him split a tree in half with a tomahawk on the tv show

I also explored the www.booneassociation.com link trying to find some evidence to a story that was related to me, can't remember if it was from my grandmother, father, or someone else, that we are linked through the lineage of Squire, Daniel Boone's brother.

Have you tried looking into Pennsylvania genealogy Daniel Boone was born in PA.

Take a look at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Warner-2958 the difference is the spelling of the husband's last name.   In Wikitree the profiles show Hulse instead of Hall.   One of the things that I have found is that names changed their spelling during this era.   I have the same thing in my family.

And yes that would make you a direct descendant of Daniel Boone.

Hey Robin. I have tried the link you gave a few times and keep coming up with page does not exist.
Try the link again, it had a stray comma at the end...

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=44863645 Although this information is listed here on this site does not mean that it is accurate. This is just what someone had listed. Take most of this stuff with a grain of salt as they say. My information through Ancestry.com only shows Daniel Boone having one son, Daniel Morgan Boone. Hope this helps.
