I have been doing genealogy for over 30 years but although I have used wikitree I am just starting to contribute. I care very much about accuracy (was a scientific programmer for 30 years) and want to help correct some mistakes I see. I will first put in my more close generations so I can "get my feet wet" with what to do before corrections in the 1700s. A lot of mistakes I see relate to 2 people with the same name and they get combined together. They were conflated decades ago when we had a lot less documentation available to us and then they were accepted as fact and repeated.
