I created a profile with a french spelling with an accent over the e. [closed]

The rest of the family does not have the spelling in WikiTree. 

The others are built as Pare-

WikiTree is not identifying the accent if you just search for Pare-1079.

Can it be updated without rebuilding the profile?

Hi Donna,

The Last Name At Birth field should generally reflect the spelling in the earliest source record, such as birth or baptismal record. But I don't see any sources cited on the profile yet.

You'll need to rename Pare_Jr.-1 as well, because Jr is a suffix, not a part of a last name.

Any profiles with the Last Name at Birth misspelled, either by including or omitting the accent, can be edited to correct it.  Only members of the profile's Trusted List can edit the LNAB field. For people who might have used both spellings during their lifetime, you can use the Other Last Names field   You never need to, and should never, rebuild the profile, in the sense of creating a new one for the same person.

Agreed.  And, since it is likely the name was recorded both with and without the accent during the course of the person's life (and especially when those records were digitized), it's wise to have both spellings included on the profile
