I'm neutral on this proposal, Ed, but note that if there were a time stamp, it might be confusing. Would it be the time on the WikiTree server, or would it use the time zone of your browser or what's in your WikiTree settings? How would daylight saving time affect it? Existing time stamps on WikiTree are often hard to interpret because of these uncertainties.
I would use the time on the WikiTree server.

Wouldn't UTC be a better standard? And it should say "UTC" after the time. That way people wouldn't have to know where the WikiTree server is.

An example of something confusing at the moment is the times on the pending merges page. It's not clear how they relate to local time. This can become significant at around 30 days.

I don't know where the WikiTree server is, but I just go to settings, then scroll down to Time Zone, then look to see what the current WikiTree server time is and calculate the offset for my time.
