Do I have enough evidence to declare that Amos and Lydia (Webster) Root are the parents of my Lydia (Root ) Hawley

I am relatively new to Wiki Tree, so hello!  I am recently retired and trying to work on some of my brick walls.  I have a Lydia Root who married Jesse Hawley in 1799 according to Connecticut and Massachusetts records, but I can't figure out her parents.

I have recently found some pretty good evidence that my Lydia Root was born January 20th, 1780.   Is that enough to decide that she must be the Lydia Root born to Amos and Lydia Root of Southington Connecticut on January 19th , 1780 as listed in Connecticut records.  The old Root genealogy book says that that Lydia married a John Neal, but I can't find any other evidence of that marriage and it isn't clear what the source of that idea is.    If the birth date alone is not enough evidence, what else might I look for?  Thank you!

The problem with the birth record is it does not list the maiden name of the mother. At least not on FamilySearch, Same result for the wedding registration.

So even though this primary document is likely pointing to the parents you suspect, it is still uncertain. A death record or marriage record of Lydia might show her parents names. Or perhaps you can connect her by looking at census records and hope that a sibling or parent shows up with her there. Usually when I get a brick wall like this I will research the heck out of the parents and siblings and other extended family until I have a "burden of proof" or some document pops up to support things.

Alas, she lived before census records would list her.   The death records and marriage records, do not list anything of her parents.   I appreciate your ideas.
