I tried and tried to put my mother's picture on the website last night; and every other picture went on but hers.  Why?  Her name was Delta Isabelle Catherine Hornby Barnes Ingram.  Thanks.

Were you trying to put the photo on her profile? Are you the profile manager for your mother's profile?

It looks like you closed your account??

Probably the most common cause for that is that the file size is too large.  The limit is 10 MB, but we have heard complaints that smaller files are sometimes rejected.  Make sure you're using either .jpg or .png format, and try slimming down the file size, and see if that works.  If not please post again.

I am sorry; but I don't know how to slim down the file size.  I could try another picture; thanks.

Catherine, you may need to email  to reactivate your account before you can edit any profiles.

A note re size of images.  Sometimes it is not the file size (maximum 10 MB), but the dimensions.  I have found anything over a certain width (I think it may have been 1200 pixels, but am not sure) is rejected.  I usually keep my images below 1000 pixels wide, by 1000 pixels high.

My account was reactivated last night.  I don't know how to use pixels; but I put a different picture of my mother on and it worked.

Thanks.

Ok, great (reactivation).

Pixels are simply one way of saying how wide and how high something is.  For example, my image program determines 3 inches wide is the same as 300 pixels.  If your computer has something even as simple as MS Paint, you can adjust the size with that.  If not, there are places online that will resize for you - some are even free.

Wonderful!  smiley  (If you'd still like the image you couldn't upload, feel free to contact me by private message - or upload it to an image host such as https://postimages.org/ and let me know what the url is.)
