BioCheck App Update

Question

Version 1.3.8 of the BioCheck app is now available.

This release recognizes Unsourced when there is a space in the template, handles br embedded in the biography, and correctly processes an Ancestry Tree wrapped in the template. This release also brings improvements to source checking.

I was thinking of adding profiles that contain the phrase "auto-generated by a GEDCOM import" to the report, perhaps under Biography style. This might help find GEDCOM imported profiles that have not had work on the biography. Does anyone see value in this?

Thanks to Warren for finding the bug... which may show up when the bio has br lines in it.

Is the bug giving results as unsourced when the profiles are sourced? I have 30 listed as possibly unsourced when they are sourced. I consider only 3 of them inadequately sourced as the only source is a gedcom, and I haven't been able to find any scrap of information to confirm their existence.

And saying sources heading missing when it isn't.

I have 132 profiles reported as having the sources heading missing and all of them have the sources heading.

And yes almost all the those biographies have <br/> as a line break as do the rest of my watchlist.

I will go check it out!  I use BioCheck after every update on Monday!  Great tool!

Version 1.3.9 fixes the bug when a profile contains the <br> code.

It also will check profiles that are Private with Public Biography and Family Tree, which before were assumed to be undated.

Yes, I believe searching for "auto-generated by a GEDCOM import" can be very helpful to find gedcoms not on the list.

Yes, it would be great to have the "auto-generated" added to the report. When I work on Gedcoms, I put the name of the Gedcom, user, and date uploaded in the Acknowledgments section, but my phrasing no longer as the "auto-generated" term in it, so those profiles wouldn't get a false notification on the report.
