My first cousin in a sport I would never try—Skydiving in formations. She and her husband are the two you can see a little of their faces. Her fists are clenched but she was a brave one who also swam with the whales. She was my dear aunt’s beloved only child but as her mother my aunt never held her back. Although I was less stoic.

I wanted to share this family photo of 52 Weeks of Photos 2022 Sports with the community. Location: The Sky.

My guess is she was part of a team given all gear is matching. Also I would suspect she was very comfortable in spite of clenched fist. That level of skill, to do "relative work", is only acquired after 60-70 jumps if not hundreds depending on ability. Oh to be young again!

Thank you K and Susan. Yes she and her husband were part of a team that competed in the Southwestern skies. There is no question that they had a great deal of courage. I kept worrying about my beloved aunt who loved children (she gave me the nickname Candy) but was only blessed with one child. I know she worried a lot but she never complained and she herself was still riding motorbikes in the desert at 75 years old. Thank you both for allowing me to praise my cousin and aunt again and taking the time to add your knowledge here. I assume K that you are also a skydiver. I am awestruck that you had such courage, too! Yes Oh to be young again!  Sadly my aunt has passed on due to a strange autoimmune disease. God bless her spirit and both of yours.
Hey Karen-Thank You. For just a moment I was a 22 yo kid falling thru clouds again. Wiki makes for strange connections. My days of living life to the fullest were halted by an autoimmune disorder. They went as far to attach "syndrome" to my "disorder". With any luck at all, I will skydive in my sleep tonight.
