Battle of Droop mountain regiments

Question

hi I noticed on the Battle Of Droop Mountain that the 7th Regiment, West Virginia Cavalry not listed there. I found something on the 150th anniversary of battle it has battle flag as well. Didn’t know if someone could add the 7th Regiment West Virginia Cavalry to battle Page. I found one my Cousins family Served there. I was adding his family.  Elijah Jefferson Taylor b:1843 was in Civil War Co. [C] 7th Cavalry Droop Mountain

The 8th WV Mounted Infantry Regiment is listed, with a note that it later became the 7th WV Cavalry Regiment.

But they have a 7th Regiment West Virginia Cavalry why not add it to list my question????

The 7th WV Cavalry did not exist until Jan 26 1864.  It was created from the 8th WV Mounted Infantry Regiment, which is listed for the battle in 1863.
