William (1591-1659) and Margaret Fowler, 1621 Abigail immigrants, who sailed from London at the age of 30, bound for Virginia Company land at Elizabeth City.
The tagged profile of John Fowler (1638-1683) suggests that John Fowler may have been first (perhaps he was the first Fowler Quaker of Virginia?), but this preliminary reporting on William and Margaret Fowler arriving in 1621 seems to make them, if not the first, among the first Fowlers in Virginia.
Sadly, we presently have little more to report about William and Margaret Fowler. The Internet is rife with William or William Daniel descendants, but I have yet to find a direct line connection that has actual sources.
One compelling line is that William Fowler (1591-1659) was the father of William Fowler (1642-1695) whose wife was Ann (1644-1664). Subsequently, they had William Fowler (1661-1727), who married either Mary Unknown or Mary Ann or Ann Whitehead (1692-1734) and their three sons begin to be fairly well documented.
I've begun working my way through some of the recommended sources from the Virginia Project. Soon, I'll digest my findings, but before I move to creating some sort of Free Space Page (in the absence of enough sources to create profiles), I wanted to put the question out there on the Virginia Fowler lines, in case anyone else had any leads or suggestions, or who would like to contribute to the effort of documenting these 1621 immigrants.
It is clear that the later Captain William Fowler (1664-1729) of Milford, New Haven Connecticut was well documented, but it is also clear that he did not as a second wife, marry Mary (UNKNOWN) Fowler (abt. 1692 - 1734), who is not well documented, but regardless, William Fowler of Milford had only one wife whom he predeceased, and left a will that named his children, and none of Mary (Unknown)'s children were among them.
