Accepting or rejecting match

In GEDcompare, what are the pros and cons of accepting or rejecting an uncertain match. For example, I often see possible matches for people in my family, but there is little data there. There may be no exact birth or death date, no details, or the birth and death dates may be a year or two off. It could be a match, or maybe not. But, there are only two choices. Match or reject. What are the pros and cons?

I check to see if the possible match has relations that are a match. I may bring up the profile in another window and look at ancestors or descendants. If you reject, you might have to do a merge if you are wrong. If you match, you then need to merge your data with the profile. It can get messy. If they are not exact or have a matching relationship I usually reject the entry.

Thanks. I think you answered my question. Where the profile in question has almost no data (not birth or death dates or locations) with no relationships to reference, it seems the best thing is to reject the profile as a match.
yes, if you are not sure then dont match, much easier
