Category Widget returning incomplete results

When using the category widget, if I type for example Oletzko, which is the Kreis/County, I get about 20 villages to choose from.  However, there are over 60 villages in this Kreis, so I should get a list of over 60 to choose from.  What's even stranger is where the list begins, it begins with Dombrowsken, and the first village should be Babken.   Babken shows up when I type it in the widget, just not in the list for Oletzko.  Any ideas why this is happening?

I would add a few letters of the particular village you are hunting for and the list will be more narrowed. If you want to see the whole list, you have to visit the category page to see the subcategories.

The category widget only ever shows up to 20 categories that match whatever is typed in. For example there are hundreds of categories containing the word "London", but if you enter that in the category widget you will only be shown 20 of them. I don't think it makes any decisions about which ones to show, I suspect it just shows whichever ones it finds first when searching the database for anything that matches whatever has been typed.
