Why was I removed as profile manager?

I would like to know why a profile I created no longer has me as a profile manager.  A project asked me to add them to the trusted list, then removed me as profile manager.  A project I volunteer with!

Hi Elizabeth. Sorry to hear this may have happened without your being informed. But this may be relevant:

Hi Elizabeth, I apologize for not sending a message before removing you as PM (you are still on the trusted list for now). I should have sent you a message and will do better about that in the future. Per the link Jim gave you in the comments about rules for living notables, members who aren't closely related and aren't an active member of the project that manages should not even be on the trusted list.

We aren't supposed to create profiles on WikiTree of living people we aren't closely related to.

The rules about living notables changed over a year ago so projects could manage living notables and open the profiles for viewing since they are already so much in the public eye.

Anyone who creates profiles for living notables needs to understand that projects have to be managers of those living profiles and they can't stay as managers unless they are related or an active member of the project. This is to protect the privacy of those living people. Again, I apologize for not informing you ahead of time.

The notable person you created a profile for is still living.

Here is a link that may be helpful: Living Notables

These profiles need to be managed by a project if they aren't managed by their subjects, and their trusted lists to known family members.

Hope this helps

In addition to the Project Account, projects may add individual project members to the Trusted List or as co-managers. These project members act on behalf of the project. This practice is at the discretion of the project leaders.

Another reason to be careful who you grant trusted list access to.
Yes, learned my lesson.

Melanie, "projects may add individual project members to the Trusted List or as co-manager"

Please see the bold part. Any person who is not related to a living notable must be an active member of that project to be a PM or on the TL. And for USBH, to us that means members who fully understand all the rules regarding privacy for living notables and what can/can't go in bios. We care very strongly about privacy.
