Categories Kingdom of Bavaria, Königreich Bayern et. al

Question

Per our guidelines the Germany Project doesn't support historical location categories. Therefore we want to get rid of Königreich Bayern and it's aliases.

Currently the category mainly contains medieval rulers of said kingdom/duchy. In my understanding those should either go into some "<rulers> of ..." category and/or some "House of ..." category. Maybe there are also some regional nobility categories around?

What is your suggestion what should be done with those profiles prior to deleting the category? Also feel free to help and move them already.

I've had a look at the profiles in this category and as you said, they are early medieval profiles at the time when Bavaria/Bayern was ruled by men from many different families or dynasties. Consequently there is no easy fix of moving most of them to a particular "House of ..." category.

Also I personally  feel that the main priority for many of these medieval/pre-1500 profiles is still to make sure they are sourced with reliable sources, and connections between profiles are based on sound research rather than adding 'House of ..." or 'Rulers of ...' categories.

My suggestion would be that the Konigreich Bayern category is deleted from these profiles and when people have time to undertake some in-depth work on them would be the time to consider what categories could or should be added.
