I need help to proof a Birthyear 1815 Sussex

Hi everyone my extended relative ancestor Geer-1997 might be the son of James Geer like his Brother and Sister, but I couldn't find his Baptismal entry.

As I am in Germany and quite uninformed about doing research in the UK I hope someone can help me.

I agree that the Daniel Geer who married Anne Tully in 1843 in Brighton has a father named as James

The baptism entry of Avice [Alice] in the original register doesn't look anything like Daniel. Avice is usually  a female  name.

There isn't a baptism of a Daniel in Folkington in or near to 1815. He may not have been baptised, baptised in a non conformist church or may have been illegitimate and baptised with another surname.

You are correct. I totally forgot that his fathers name was already listed at his marriage register as well

Chased up James, tried to include everything I found with references.  I suspect there may be missing children. This is long because of the long sharing links so have to chop it in two.

Baptism at Folkington:

As a young man James went to Norfolk  (probably to find work). He returned to Sussex to marry.

The couple had several children (see below)

In late June, 1837, ''James Geer of Folkington was loading some faggots on a waggon, which he had purchased for his own use, the waggon nearly went over , by which he was jerked with the load from the vehicle, whereby he had the misfortune to fracture his legs''

He was buried on 7 August, 1837 at Folkington

His grave has a stone, photograph on findagrave (it is said to include his wife, it definitely includes his son Edward, unfortunately the stone has degraded and I couldn't read most of it in this photo)

Thank you so much Helen. as for George, I found his Birth on FamilySearch (kind of, because it only transcribed and FamilySearch doesn't seem to tell where that transcript comes from)  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JM2C-LVF
That's the same chapel as Edward and Ann were baptised in but I can't find the entry on the scanned images on Ancestry. On image 5 there is a bap. in1810 followed immediatelyb by one in 1816 then one in 1822, these.are followed by burials.  Image 26 onwards has more comprehensive coverage from 1816. Maybe there are some earlier pages missing from this section.
Could be, or they are misplaced in order. Ancestry sometimes had this problem some years ago (especially for Geman Registers)

Could you please tell me where you found that? I searched now for over an hour and couldn't find any parish records for that church online.
That's excellent. Found they have the records at the Keep, would love to know where online. Perhaps the other younger sons were baptised there.
