Bio Check ==Research Notes == should be OK

I'm finding the Wrong level heading == Research Note == coming up frequently in the Bio Check.

The help page for Research Notes explicitly says this is the level to use.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Research_Notes

Could that be removed from the Bio Check style issues?

It does seem silly to have to use == Research Notes == when you currently only have one note.   I wanted to point out that the Biography generator will keep == Research Notes ==  and the text that follow should someone use that tool later.
The point of my question is that it says "Wrong level".  To me that means the == is incorrect and it should be ===.

Do I misunderstand?  I am not sure what to correct.

If its not one of the validated level two tags then level three must be used to avoid biocheck message.
== Research Notes == is a validated level two tag
== Research Note == is not a validated level two tag
Level two includes: == Biography == , == Research Notes ==, == Sources == and == Acknowledgements ==
Common level three tags are:

=== Early Life ===
=== Family ===
=== Occupation ===
=== Death & Legacy ===
=== Timeline ===
=== Disputed Origins ===
You can make virtually any level three tag that you feel is appropriate

"== Research Note =="  should be  "== Research Notes ==" (with an 's').

OK looking at Ians answer, the "Wrong Level" words in the issue have nothing to do with the ==?  It means an s is needed??

Still looking for what to correct as there are many in the Acadians project that are flagged in the Bio Check.  I only want to go through this once :)

There are only four permitted level-two headings. == Research Notes == is one of them but == Research Note == is not.

However, === Research Note === would formally be permitted as a level-3 heading (though it wouldn't be sensible to use it). That is why BioCheck says the level is wrong: level three would be correct for Research Note (in a narrow technical sense), but level two is wrong.

Maybe you should give us an example profile to look at, Cindy. But I think the answer is to change every instance of

== Research Note ==

to

== Research Notes ==
I would like to point out that GEDCompare creates the level as == Notes ==, so the main WT system does not follow the rules.
Thank you Jim.  That was a very subtle difference between Note and Notes.

We use the === for all the non-major headings but I also did not know that Research Note could be a three level heading.  So Bio Check is saying if you have Note singular is should be a ===.  But I really prefer it to be a == level so I will add the s to make it be so!

This also means that probably most of the 754 Bio Check issues are my error.  Expensive lesson learned.

One other tiny question.  Should there be a space between the == and the words Research Notes?
I'm glad it's sorted out, Cindy. I think the space is optional: it doesn't matter either way.
Thank you, Jim.  I'm off to correct the 754 profiles that now need an s!  But thanks to Bio Check we now know and some of them have other problems that I find, so it's not a completely wasted effort, only mind numbing . . .
Dave, can you give me an example of a profile created in the last couple of years where it was created with == Notes == so I can investigate?
Sorry Jamie. I just re-checked a profile with it in and it had === Notes ===. So I'm wrong. My apologies.
No worries, sometimes things go unnoticed for a long time because no one reports them, so even if something turns out to not be a problem it's good to report things!
