THE TOP STAR forensics scientist. Her work was considered the gold standard, She and her work are under investigation. She specialized in cold cases involving and finding tiny bits of DNA located on old evidence. Another DNA analysist has been fired and criminal charges will be filed. Bottom Line: DNA tampering. Raises doubts about DNA evidence.

The DNA piece is not the issue. The issue is tampering with the evidence, which is probably as old as law enforcement.

Anything to make DNA look bad to the general public. Key word used throughout.... "could".  Nothing proven yet... and it seems they are talking about less than 70 cases of the thousands she worked on over the last 20+ years. And even with those, there is no evidence in false outcomes, just certain procedures not followed correctly.

Nothing like convicting someone before all the facts are in!
