Thank you - I have good info on Edward Joseph Walsh - even have an original picture of him. I have read a New Zealand newspaper article re their marriage, so know they are married. I still have no info re immigration to New Zealand or her ancestry from Ireland

Yes, Gertrude was my great grandmother. I have info re her immigration to US and a ton of pictures of her. I also meet Agnes in San Francisco a bit over 50 years ago. A bunch of the women in this family left New Zealand (and their husbands) and came to California, including Mary Catherine, Gertrude Bridget, Johanna Agnes, Mary Hadfield, and Helen Nancy Fantham. I have a pix of Gertrude on her wedding day in New Zealand with a lot of these women in the pix, but I cannot figure out how to upload the image

I found a1893 news article from the New Zealand times (Volume LV, Issue 2062, 22 November 1893, Page 2) So, I suspect Joanna came from Kilteely, Ireland. Does anyone know good genealogy sites for searching pre-1860 Kilteely?

Walsh.— On the 21st, at Palmer street, Wellington (and late of Christchurch), Johanna, • dearly beloved wife of E. J. Walsh, and eldest daughter of the late Mr P. Ryan, farmer, Kilteely, County Limerick, Ireland. R.I.P.
