"Free" autosomal transfer at FTDNA

As many of you know, you can transfer your DNA to FTDNA for free, but getting full value requires upgrading by either paying $39 or getting 4 people to upload theirs using a unique referral link.  I'm about to do a transfer and would be happy to benefit a WikiTreer by using their referral link. If any of you have one, or want to create one now, let me know. Note that free transfers count toward the 4.

I'd use the WikiTree referral link, but it's not clear they'd make any money from transfers.

Where do you find the referral link on FTDNA?
You have to do the free transfer of your DNA to get a referral link.
I have done that.
But I do not have a referral link associated with my transfer. I purchased a mtDNA for my mother. I have not yet loaded my cousins DNA on FTDNA.
I'm afraid I don't know what you need to do.  Maybe FTDNA support can help you.
I just emailed them. :)
Loretta, it's for autosomal DNA.  So your mom's mtDNA doesn't apply in this situation...
No, I wanted to do auDNA on my half brother. :) Still have not heard from FTDNA. :(

I tried to do my husband's 23andme results last night and the test was taken too long ago and was unacceptable.  I tested with both companies but wanted to transfer his to compare on the other site.  Disappointed.

Bummer!  I had been assuming I could transfer 23andme results.

You might want to look into gedmatch, which is free.
