Seems like he is the 3rd child? Arabella, 1st, Caroline 2nd and him 3rd.
Source?
And you'll notice in that particular article in Wikipedia it says they had "planned" to name the child but it didn't happen....
Does that alter the fact that 2 children were born before JFK Jr? Does a stillbirth not count? Not arguing but it says "Jackie subsequently gave birth to a second daughter, Caroline, in 1957".
Maybe it should read JFK Jr was the second live child or some such wording?
really?
What fact "that 2 children were born...."?  Birth Certificate please.  You do see some birth certificates for stillborns but that must be because they were full-term.  Less than full-term is more of a medical issue for the mother and could be mentioned in her biography.
Ok, whatever.
The child that didn't exist has a plaque next to her father. Her remains were moved there after his death.
Oh, wait, she doesn't exist so why would they do that?
Strange indeed while John Jr. got buried at sea?  Maybe they do need profiles.  Sometimes you would be surprised that people want to make profiles for miscarriages, etc. and there needs to be a boundary somewhere.
The baby was born at 8 months gestation after Mrs Kennedy went into early labour.
So really it wasn't a miscarriage, just an early birth with complications that resulted in the death of the baby before they could deliver her.
I know we have to draw the line somewhere but these days, that birth would have been registered.
Since the profiles of President Kennedy and Jacqueline Onassis both list the stillborn child, it appears to me that the only issue is a request to correct John Jr's profile so that it doesn't state that he was the second child.  This would keep all the profiles for this notable family in sync.
Birth certificates usually are "Certificate of Live Birth"  Stillbirths are usually "Report of Fetal Death".  If a child is delivered (full term or not) and never draws a breath, it is not a live birth.  Some states will issue Certificates of Stillbirth, but it is for commemorative purposes only.
