Need help confirming William Brooks (Brooks-7894) father of James Noal Brooks (Brooks-7893).

Question

I need some assistance in finding more information, and a positive connection, for William Brooks (Brooks-7894) and his wife Lourina Freeman (Freeman-7201).

The connection I am looking for is to his son James Brooks (Brooks-7893) born 1837 in NC. On James' death certificate it lists Lourina Freeman as mother and William Brooks as father. I am confident in all the information I have for James Brooks after his move to Illinois after 1850. 

In 1850 James Brooks is living with Thomas Brooks (Brooks-7911) and Lurena Freeman in Anderson County, TN. It is my belief that James' father William died and his mother took the children to live with their uncle Thomas and later married him, but that is just my opinion. 

I'm sure I am missing some information that is needed in this question, but I can't think of it right now. If anyone has any info on this line please pass it down.

I have all of the info you posted. It is under James Brooks' source info. I'm looking for more information on his parents William Brooks and Louraina Freeman.

Yes. That one was found, but where is the marriage to William. It seems that this branch of the Brooks family moved across the NC/TN border so I've been searching all the records I can find for the counties in East Tennessee, (Anderson, Knox, Cooke, Campbell, etc.). I haven't found anything yet.
