Who is interested in a Conrad project?

There are 20 people following the Conrad surname but no project apparently.  How many of you would like to join in to start a project?  My particular line came from Germany to Virginia, USA sometime in the 1760s.

Well, it doesn't look like we're going to have more volunteers from this post, so what do we do next; start setting up a free space page or try stirring up some more interest?  Personally I think it would be better to create a starter page and then use that as a way to get people interested.  If anyone has suggestions on what to use as a template for the starter page, let me know.  Otherwise I'll wait to tomorrow and then contact the two of you to get some ideas.

I'd help, Dave. I am one of those followers. My husband's family are my Conrads; his came from Germany to New York pre-1800.

Well, it's certainly useful to have a Leader and Pre1500 certified  person interested in the potential project.  My Conrads (which are sometimes shown in censuses as Coonrad or Conrade) moved to Hocking County, Ohio and then some moved to Fairfield County which is confusing as another (I think related) branch was in Pennsylvania and then moved to Fairfield County Ohio, making it difficult to sraighten things out.  I'll wait to tomorrow to see if anyone else is interested and then we can talk about the possibilities.Conrad is a fairly common surname, I see we have 1595 profiles of that surname at present; which isn't as many as Thompson or Miller which are among my other ancestrial surnames, but enough to need to make decisions as to the scope of or how to create subprojects.

Good Morning,

I just joined this morning, I do not have a whole lot of Conrad's, although I do have a great Aunt who married a Conrad of which he emigrated from Germany to New York then to Massachusetts.  I do have his date of birth and date of death.  He did become Naturalized he did not have any children atleast not with my aunt.  I have not been able to further add to this such as parents he was an adult when he he emigrated.  Willing to help if I have information that is helpful to someone.

Yes!  My mom is a Conrad.  I would put a vote in for an expanded project to include related surnames.  I have determined that my Conrads changed their name from Coonradt post-Civil War, but there are many who continue to use the name Coonradt that are related to my Conrads.

Thanks for reminding me about this post.  Well, I've see some of my Conrads use Coonrade but not (I think) Conradt.  Ok, I'll post something tonight late or  tomorrow on starting a Conrad and related surnames group, ultimately a project.
