Cynthia, I've PPP'd Baldwin-523 but I'm not so sure about Rebecca Baseden. Anderson in the Samuel Greenhill article calls her (Taylor) although he calls her (Baseden) in the Adams article. Maybe someone else will weigh in here also, so I've only commented.
Hi Anne,

The Baseden/Taylor question probably should have a community concensus.  I am not familiar with all the material and don't have time today to work up a G2G question on her.  That one will go on my to-do list.  Thank you!
Is the page from Four American Ancestries under copy right, the book appears to have been written in 2008?
I am wondering if you have the right REBECCA,  REBECCA BUSWELL SMITH IS THE 9TH GREAT GRANDMOTHER TO MY NEPHEW, Hankins-606.   According to Ancestry and the NEW ENGLAND MARRIAGES PRIOR TO 1700,  Rebecca (b.1593 d. 1667)  married Richard Smith in 1617 at Liecestershire, England.  She was the daughter of: Roger Buswell and Margaret Lehman.   Richard and Rebecca Smith arrived in Virginia in 1637,  they had 14 children.  He died in 1669 .......so......when did she have time for 3 other marriages.

Evelyn Murray-2307
At first, I thought Huh? then I looked Rebecca Taylor Baseden Greenhill Adams should not have Richard Smith attached as her husband. I don't know anything about Richard Smith, but it looks as though some merge took place recently. Didn't you say your Richard and Rebecca Smith went to Virginia, if so this couple [https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Smith-40488 & https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Buswell-5] are not the same people. Frequently, people will grasp at dates for people in other parts of the world and assign them to ancestors with similar names.

Seems that Rebecca Taylor-12772 came in as a wife when she was attached as mother of Mary Smith-116265.

Mary Smith is an unsourced profile created on 27 Dec 2016.

Thanks for catching this, Anne!

I've had a chance to give a good perusal of the "sources" and I've PPP'd Rebecca

Thank you, Anne!
At a glance, it looks to me as if the (Taylor) name is a rare Anderson error.
I've changed my mind: I'm working it into coherency and will get back to you.

I'm 99% sure she's Taylor. I've posted my synopsis at the top of her profile. Take a look.
