Trying to ascertain more infomation on this John Easter

Question

I recently received my ancestry information on my family, the Easter.  My great-grandfather compiled a lot of information and has the family traced back to the German-Holland area.  First mention is a John Easter coming to Ameraica in 1703.  He notes another John Easter 2 generations down, specifically: "John Easter, a soldier in the Revolutionary War, who was born January 17, 1760."

Can you provide any additional information?

I don't have the state where John Easter was born.  The information also mentions Jacob Easter, brother of John Easter of the Revolutionary War.  Our family line descends from Jacob Easter.  Jacob Easter was born in Maryland, but family records were lost.  Next mentioned is Nicholas Easter, son of Jacob Easter.  Nicholas was born 22 Jan 1796 in Bedford Co.  Nicholas married Mary Whip 16 Feb 1815 in Bedford Co., PA.  From my information, Nicholas and Mary had 10 children, on of whom was John Whip Easter.  I have dates of birth and death on so many.

Thank you so much!!  I'll print that out to include in my information.  I'm working on combining information gathered by my grandfather and great-grandfather.  Maybe I'll be able to say that I had 2 ancestors (may be 3 if I can get some of my grandmother's genealogy) in the Revolutionary War!!

You can go to DAR.org  and use their free search tool.  Not all records are assured to be accurate, however if you open the John Easter that I mentioned in my answer, and then open each child, it will give some of the descendants of each child.  Not all children are registered with DAR - but it will certainly expand this particular tree.  There is more than one Jacob - but neither was b. in MD - so couldn't ascertain any connecting lineage.  Good Luck!
