I have Thomas's Parents as Christopher C Parsons & Lucy Weatherford. In Lunenburg, VA. But they would have been in their 40's at Thomas birth in 1749  .(1700 & 1705)

Thomas wife  was Elizabeth Sparks, 1751, Conn.

I think Christopher had a brother named Richard.

There was another Thomas Parsons born in the 1740's in Lunenburg county, Va. That died in Green county, KY., in 1851.

Yeah I have tried to find info on Thomas' parents. I haven't been able to confirm anything on Christopher. Thomas and his family moved to Bedford county, TN. I am wondering if Thomas' parents are from New England or immigrated to VA.

Thanks Catherine! I will check those books out.
Thomas 1749-1824 ( some have 1747-1824) , I think, he lived in Lunenburg county until moving to TN. His kids were born there. Had a Grist Mill in TN, looking if he had one in VA.., before moving.  Christopher land on Cub creek, started out in Brunswick, in 47 it was in Lunenburg, after CCP death, the land was in Charlotte. Thomas I think lived in Lunenburg after the split in 64, but he and Elizabeth, sold land in Charlotte co. in 1791.

A Parsons contact, who can trace her tree to Richard Parsons 1714-1783 B. Henici co  D.  Pittsylvania co. had land in multi. counties. ( all counties stated out in Lunenburg before splittingg off) Richard had numiours Mills. as well as farming. Wondering since Thomas & sons had mill in TN, if it was a Family thing.  Haven't found Christopher having a Mill or not.  Need to check out, Thomas in-laws in Virginia. If they lived close, farmer, tradesman, or what.

Dose this book by, Augustine Parsons, have any listing of Grist Mills? I'm trying to see if Mills, were a family thing, in the 1700 & 1800's, for the Parsons.

I just looked into the three books, Parsons Family History by Virginia MacCabe, The Parsons Family Book by Augustine Parsons, and THE PARSONS FAMILY HISTORY AND RECORD by Katherine Ray. I haven't found anything that point to our Thomas Parsons. Could ours be another Parsons branch that hasn't been explored or did I overlook something. This is getting really interesting.

RE;      Christopher Parsons married to Lucy Weatherford .   His will filed in Lunenburg County, Va.  names his children still living at the time of his death.  Those named  1. William  2.Christopher,   3.Major   4. John    5. Agnes   6.Thomas                         Contact  the LIBRARY OF VIRGINIA  800 EAST BROAD ST.   RICHMOND, VA 23219    PHONE NOT TOLLFREE IS 804 692 3500   FOR Lunenburg County  wills 1746-1825
I had seen that will. Several people have said Christopher's son, Thomas moved to Kentucky and died. I did see his name in Kentucy records. My Thomas moved to Bedford County, Tennessee.  I am not ready to rule out Christopher because he could still be an uncle, brother, or cousin of Thomas.
George Washington Parsons from Bedford County TN was my GGGG Grandfather.  I am trying to determine who his father was.  I have seen some post that have Thomas and others as William as his father and Christopher as his grandfather.  Any proofs discovered?  Thanks, Dennis Harris

The Thomas Parsons who died in Kentucky married Sarah, last name not recorded.  Their children were LEROY, SARAH, ELIZABETH, ANDREW.   .Apparently only Leroy survived to adulthood.

Strange, two Thomas Parsons born about 1749, in Lunenburg county. The odd's say, they should be related somehow. One was a R-War Vet, & can't I find if the other searved or not.  But Lucy  had some Weatherfords, that were tories. Have no idea how CCP & lucy, would have leaned. Both had passed by the time of the war. Some of Lucy's relatives, had a couple of months to leave the USA. I think they went to Bermuda. Haven't found any Parsons, deported after the war.

Lot of family trees have both Thomas  Parsons, thinking their parents were CCP & LWP.  One maved to Bedford county TN & died in 1824, & the other moved to Green county, Kentucky, & lived to be 101 years old.  , If their parents  were CCP & LWP, they would have been in their late forties, when either Thomas, were born.  Not likley a family would have had two sons same name, with out one passing frist.

Found some families in Germany, using the same name, but a combo of same names. ( billy joe, joe paul)

Who were these two Thomas'es ?  Related cousins? their  Faith? Tradesmen?   Mill owner? Farmer? Parents? Land holdings in Lunenburg, or counties split off Lunenburg? All Parsons living in Lunenburg county, at  their birth 1747-1749?
Go to   freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~kinfolkkorner/PARSONS        a section of the book  PARSONS FAMILY HISTORY is there.  It says Thomas born 1663 and his brother owned and operated the first mills    use all small letters except for PARSONS  and the sign in front of kinfolk is the squiggly
Is the Kinfolk Korne for Parsons only?
