Looking for info on Alexander Moss

Question

Hello,

I am looking for any info that anyone has about my grandfather, Alexander Moss. Here's what I know:

• He was born in Barrow In Furness, Lancashire, England on September 6, 1917.
• I believe his father was named Alec Moss, and his mother named Mary Mckinney. Mckinney being her maiden name. I'm not 100% positive about his mother's first or last name, though I am about 90% certain of her maiden surname. 
• He worked as a machinist building submarine engines for England in WW2. 
• He moved to America in October 1949, with his first wife Irene Norah Moss. They sailed on the SS American Veteran, and settled in San Francisco.
• Sometime shortly after arriving in America, he and Irene separated, and he married Rose Smith, another British immigrant who had served in the British military during the war. They had three children. My father was the youngest, born in 1953.
• He had a brother named Thomas Frederick Moss, who lived his who life in the UK as far as I know.
• He may have spent some time in Canada in his initial time in North America.
• He died in San Jose in May 2009. 

If anyone know's more information about his lineage or can supply more records about him, I'd appreciate it. I'd also be interested in info on both of his wives, though at this point I don't know any more about either of them than what I already mentioned. Both wives were born in the UK and later moved to America. I do know that Rose died in 2003.

EDIT: I found more info on his first wife, Irene. Now I'm interested in his birth parents and 2nd wife, Rose.

Do you have Rose's maiden name? Is the cemetery where Alexander and Rose are buried known to you?

Rose's maiden name was Smith. I don't know where they were buried, only that it would be in the Bay Area of the US (I assume, since they both died in that area, I wasn't at the funerals).
