      A child of this couple was born 9 Nov 1948.  So, between 1938 and 1948 and either North or South Carolina.  That is where I would concentrate.

Thank you for your reply.  I am Carolyn Dale Martin.  For some crazy reason, none of the three children of these 2 people know our parents date of marriage.   I do believe it was after 11-09-1948.

Did your folks elope?  Maybe an Aunt or Uncle could tell you?  Maybe it was a common law marriage?  Did the Carolinas have common law marriage at that time?

You might want to look at their vacation patterns.  Did they take a special weekend trip to marry?

My grandparents got married on the last week of leave my grandfather had from the Navy before his enlistment ran out.  So it seemed my Aunt was born REALLY soon after he got home from his service!  Always a great conversation starter....   -NGP
