Which Elizabeth Lloyd was the true wife of Francis Browning?

One of my ancestors, Francis Browning (Browning-267) has two wives listed - both Elizabeth Lloyd. The Elizabeth's have different parents, birthdates, etc. and are clearly not the same person. I have searched many different sites and none can offer a definitive answer as to which one was actually married to Francis. Any help would be appreciated.

Sources: The Genealogy of the Browning's in America from 1621 to 1908 written by Edward Franklin Browning, US and Canada Passenger and Immigration List in 1500 - 1900, US International Marriage records 1560 - 1900, American Genealogical Biographical Index (AGBI)

Francis Browning Sr 1700 - 1775 - son of John Francis Browning Jr. 1666 - 1712  and Rachel Merritt 1673 - 1715

married Elizabeth Carter Lloyd in 1723 her parents being Father Sampson Lloyd 1664 - 1692 Mother Elizabeth Good 1668 - 1736

I hope this answers your question, I will be uploading my family tree to the Wiki site as soon as I clear up a few hiccups, it's a work it progress, happy hunting,

The International marriage records and the AGBI are user donated information listed by Ancestry.com. They're not actual documents and shouldn't be used as sources as the information is frequently spurious. ;-)
And to add to the complexity, Edward Franklin Browning's work has a number of errors, particularly where Virginia Brownings are improperly mixed with Maryland Brownings.

To compound the problem, numerous secondary sources name Francis' wife as Elizabeth Lloyd -- but primary sources like property sale documents name Francis' wife as Mary and no primary source has been found referring to a wife named Elizabeth.  More detailed discussion under Research Notes in the profile.  Should Elizabeth be disconnected as the wife of Francis if no further evidence can be found?

2 cents: I think Elizabeth should be disconnected as wife of Francis Browning.
