my 2nd Great grandfather was Benito and Timotea (villanueva) Ruiz Hidalgo County Texas anyone have any information?

My name is Margaret Ruiz and the granddaughter to Ben Ruiz whose grandfather was Benito Ruiz and mother Timotea (Villanueva) Ruiz. It seems they only had 2 sons Mauricio and Francisco Ruiz.any more information will be greatly appreciated.

Margaret. I didn't find any information on Benito Ruiz, the husband of Timotea. I found the CERTIFICATE OF DEATH of their son Mauricio at FamilySearch, your great grandfather. The Certificate states the exact dates of birth and death.

I did find a lot more information. Benito Ruiz (Timotea Villanueva Spouse) his Father was Pablo Ruiz found it spelled Paublo Ruis married to a Gertrudis Alfaro. Her Father was from Spain and had many children.

They all had one thing in common they all resided in El Rancho Capote, Hidalgo county Texas.

I think the information you have is from this record, This was the second marriage of this Benito Ruiz, he was widowed. His first wife was Eleuteria Gómez.

The eldest son of Benito Ruiz and Eleuteria Gómez, Senobio Ruiz, was born on 1855. This Benito Ruiz was born before 1837.

    One thought I had looking at the death certificate of Mauricio Ruiz.  Who is the Rodolfo Ruiz that gave the information?  

    Here is a census entry for a Timotea Villanaeva of the correct age and location to be the woman you are seeking.

I found that same information, and found a wall. That information seemed a bit odd she was 7 and was listed as other in a household. But, I did manage to get more information. Benito Ruiz (father to Maurico Ruiz married to Lucinda JAckson) Paternal GG grandfather was Paublo Ruiz his parents were Nicolas Ruiz and Gertrudis Alfaro.from San Juan de los Lagos Jalisco Mexico. they had 4 sons Nicolas Benito, Juan, Jose Lazaro and 6 girls Lucia, Maria Ricarda, Marcela, Dorotea and Maria Antonia.

   There are also three people with the surname RUIZ interred in the Jackson Ranch Church Cemetery in San Juan, Hildago County, Texas.  Here is the link to the list of graves.

   One is Mauricio.  The others are named Lucinda (about 1891-1976) and Ramiro, who has no dates.  -NGP

Thank you for your input. Mauricio and Lucinda (Jackson) Ruiz are both married and my Great Grandparents. Ramiro if I am not mistaken was their son. My GGgrandfather had only one brother name Francisco Ruiz, I know when he passed he was already widowed. I do not have any information on Francisco.
