Any suggestion on tracing Elizabeth Galloway across the "Pond" Atlantic Ocean.

Question

I am a decendant of Elizabeth Galloway (Born 1 SEP 1868, Died 19 OCT 1937) whom depending on which census you read is either from Ireland or Scotland. She is Galloway-2536 on Wikitree. I recently found the family whom she worked for as an indentured servant; Harry Murphy and Mary Genevieve Ferris-Murphy, which stated they came from  Lisburn, Antrim, Northern Ireland. She arrived here in the USA 1884/1885, but I've not been able to track down which port she arrived or which ship she arrived. She worked for the family in Buffalo, Erie Co., New York, where she also settled and married William Henry Farr whom was from Hamilton, Wentworth Co, Ontario, Canada.

I would really like to trace her ancestry or find anyone whom would be related to this surname and interested in researching this branch of the tree across the Atlantic, because I am really clueless on how or what do do next.

findmypast shows 11 Scottish possibilities from the 1881 census, to get more details you would have to go to scotlandspeople.gov.uk.

Since she was born 1868, I guess Elizabeth  Galloway  1868  —  Burntisland  Burntisland  Fife is most probable, but still like you said will still need additional research.

I think the Eliza Galloway of Castlederg is my Great Grandfather's sister. It lists parents as John Galloway and Mary Gormley. I did DNA on ancestry - maybe we are a match
