Help with GedCom and my Tree

Question

I uploaded my family tree, but cannot connect myself or anyone else. I went through and clicked all my ancestors to add from the gedcom but still the program wants me to add all my ancestors by hand.

I honestly don't have time or patience to "redo" my ancestry after doing this for 20 plus years.  When I added the gedcom, and connected myself, I thought it would just connect my gedcom to me...

The new Gedcompare procedure requires us to add new profiles individually, but we don't add them "by hand." The software fills out the "Add Person" form for us. We can review it and make needed changes before the profile is created.

It's not clear what you are seeing in your Gedcompare. Do you see "ADD" buttons next to people's names on the Gedcompare screen?

Yes, I see it. Thank you but I do not have time to do this. There are too many people and too many matches. I clicked to add my direct ancestors and then they did not show up on my tree anyway.

Unfortunately, I do not have time to add them one by one. What a shame, this looks like a great idea, (one tree). Plus, the DNA matches could have been a plus for my research...
