I am looking for ancestors of Noah Calhoun born about 1760-1774 who obtained Land Grant in Spanish West Florida in 1818

Noah Calhoun settled in Escambia, now Santa Rosa County Florida after 1818.  He is in 1830 census with 3 sons and a daughter. Son John Calvin had two families, one in Santa Rosa and after death of first wife married Sara Ann Elizabeth Hobbs, “Lizzie”, in Mayo, Florida in 1862 and had three sons, Jefferson C being my great Grandfather

My grandmother was Olive Calhoun whose father was Riley John Calhoun and whose grandfather was John Pickney Calhoun. 

We were just at one of the family cemeteries on the land grant yesterday.

Noah Calhoun b. 1765 is in the FTDNA YDNA project with the group that relates to Burrell R. Calhoun (b. abt 1795), supposed son of Big Samuel Calhoun, and John C. Calhoun (Statesman), b. 1823, Georgia.  This means they all have common ancestors. Burrell is believed to be the grandson of James Calhoun who d. in 1795 in Guilford Co., NC. John C. Calhoun is traced back to James Patrick Calhoun of Ireland and Pennsylvania. Be careful. James Patrick according to YDNA testers, is NOT the son of Rev. Alexander Colquhoun!!!! as is traced everywhere that way.  His father is NOT known by YDNA.
