Need Immigration Info on Nicholas Bricker or Johann Nicolaus Breuker

I have located ancester Ludwig Bricker b. 1753 or 1754 (listed differently in different places)  in a number of records, all of which list his father as Nicholas Bricker (b. 1732) , by wife Elizabeth or Elizabetha.  I have also seen mentions that father Nicholas might have spelled his name Nicolaus, or have been born as Johann Nicolaus - and Bricker is anglified from Breuker, perhaps.  They are supposedly from Holland, Gutersloh, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany originally.  I am guessing that his exit from Germany would logically have been to leave by ship from Bremerhaven, the nearest large port. I have not yet been able to find any ship records from the 1700s. If anyone has information connected to any of these people I would be interested in hearing.

Did they sail to the US?  Do you know what port they may have sailed to in the US? Do you know where they settled?  There were many Dutch/Germans in the Hudson Valley and southern  Pennsylvania and into the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.

There are early (late 1700's) marriage bonds in Virginia.  There are early property records in both NY and Penn.  Starting at the Town/County level is best.  What is your earliest death certificate?  Many times "Frakturs" (Decorative germanic certificates  of important events) can be found a local Histroical Societies.

He did; he is buried in York County, Pennsylvania (Records of St. Jacob’s (Stone) Union Church, Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania, 1762-1793).  But I can find no records of what ship he came on, or any birth records of Ludwig his son.  There are bits of information around that other people have written that trace his children by his second wife Anna Maria, but not Elizabetha - or perhaps I just haven't found the German records yet if my ancestry.com subscription doesn't cover international.  Is there anyplace I should start?.

Hi. I am researching the Hauser family and recognized the Bricker name from some of the research I was doing at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City last week. I have a listing for a Johannes Brickert that came in on the ship Betsy from Rotterdam, (last from Cowes) it says, "qualified Oct. 13, 1766. There are many other names on that list that are common in the areas that my ancestors the Hausers were living, such as parts of Maryland, PA and OH. I hope this helps you. This info came from "German and Swiss Settlers in America, 1700s to 1800s...CD 267 at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Let me know if you have any questions about this reference.

Nicholas Bricker was listed as being on the ship "Isaac" which left England

for Philadelphia on September 27, 1749.

Just curious if you ever found any more information on him.  I found record of Johan Nicol Brecher arriving on the Alexander & Ann in September of 1730.  As our Nicholas Cwas born in 1732 I am wondering if this could possibly be his father.  I'm very confused.  I thought I had our line all figured out until the Bricker DNA project came up and I am seeing that I don't trace back to the Peter Bricker I had thought all along.  I also find no connection between Nicholas and Ludwig anywhere on paper, so I am hoping you have some insight since you posted this.
