I'm sorry, this is off-topic, but I had to comment on the article linked by Margaret above. The author appears to be well-meaning, a good writer and anthropologist, but does not appear to have taken a DNA test or want to, and feels he must warn others of the dangers of reinforcing racist ideas by taking DNA tests. I and others feel that his ignorance, although well expressed, leads him to conclusions that are the exact opposite of the truth. If anything, DNA tests help almost all of us to have a better understanding of how we are all inter-related, and that race is an artificial concept, perpetuated only by ignorance.
If you do waste a few minutes reading it, make sure you also read the comments, which almost entirely do a good job of delineating the problems (except for one hateful comment, full of divisive labeling, misleading statements and bald faced lies).
