I agree - what a great photo,  in looking at her face you would think she was only about 10 yrs of age, in looking at her body I would think not.  I love the hair, funny, my daughter used to wear her hair that way when she was taking dance lessons.  Some styles never die.  Thank you for sharing

Regarding the date, I'd take a guess at her age in the photo, if you think she is about 20 years old, then mark the photo as 1882, and "before this date."  Or, if 15 years old, 1877, etc.

Annie is 12 in this picture.  She was born on June 26, 1862, so that would date this picture 1850.

From the information that I was able to find out about Annie, she grew to be a very beautiful woman.  I am not related to her, but I try to research people before I answer the questions.

I love her hairstyle, and in Illinois that is called french-braiding.  The girls have their hair french-braided here today.  I think she looks adorable with her hair done that way.
