Is there definite proof that Hannah (widow of Richard Galloway) married William Cole (Anne Arundel Co. Maryland)?

Is there proof that Hannah (maiden name Unknown) who married William Cole/Coale about 1666 was the widow of Richard Galloway (and thus the surname Galloway was from her first marriage, not a maiden name as sometimes claimed). If she was the widow of Richard Galloway, this profile (Unknown-462648) needs to be merged with UNKNOWN-48767.

It certainly seems possible, since a Hannah had her last child with Richard Galloway in 1664 and had her child with William Cole/Coale in 1667.  Furthermore, the fact that son Samuel Galloway married a Sarah Coale would indicate a family connection (since Sarah Coale would thus be Hannah's stepdaughter)   But is there proof that Richard Galloway actually died between 1664 and 1667.  His profile simply says that he died before 1674.

I cancelled my ancestry account so I cannot look up sources that I have used before. But I have a lot of Coles and Talbott's in my family so here are some areas to look.  There is a history of the Talbott's done and you can see it on this profile. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Talbott-999  You will note that Talbott's and Cole's are Quakers so there are a lot of records in the form of monthly meetings that could be reviewed. Finally, the Cole's are well know as some of the first settlers of Baltimore. Your Cole's and the ones involved in first patenting Baltimore harbor are the same family somehow. You should contact Seely Foley who is very active on Wikitree and has done a lot of research in this area.

Finally look at the related questions and you will see Seely and some questions she has asked in the past that are in this same area. William Cole is a key.

Followup:

In 1663 a certificate of survey was issued to Richard Galloway for "Galloways," containing 250 acres. However, he did not complete the transaction of obtaining a patent upon his 250 acres of land (at West River) near the plantations of William COALE, William Richardson and Thomas Hooker.

His son Richard Galloway Jr. was born on 28 January 1663/64. It is unclear whether Richard Galloway Sr. was still living when Richard Jr. was born in January 1663/64.

In any case, sometime after his death, his two sons made a re-survey of "Galloways", each claiming one-half (or 125 acres) of "Galloways".

I’m a  Coale descendant, but through 3rd wife Elizabeth whose origins seem to be documented.  Has anyone looked at the Swarthmore College Quaker collection for early Anne Arundel/Howard county Quaker meeting records?  I know they aren’t on line or in Hinshaw, but they may exist on paper.

Proof can be found in Maryland Testamentary Proceedings. These are colonial records of estate matters brought before the court. If Cole married the widow of Richard Galloway he would become the administrator of Galloway's estate. You'll have to look through all the records connected to William Coale or Richard Galloway. They are hard to read and it's tedious work, but they can be found online at the Maryland Archives website. Pay careful attention to the date of the record because there are probably a lot of entries for men named William Cole or Coale. I was going to give you a link but their website isn't working this morning.
