Patronym used as surname

I fail to understand the naming of Aeskin (Haesken or Haasje). She was in in the 15th century Holland (Netherlands didn't exist at the time) almost certainly referred to as Haesken, houswife of Doen Beijensz (Doen Beijenszoon, or Doen, son of Beije). She was undoubtedly never referred to as Haesken Beijensz (Beijenszoon, son of Beije) mostly because she was nobody's son and definitely not Beije's. Her daughter Liedewei has an even worse name here: she is in wikitree known as Liedewei Beijens (son of Beije..Beije was her grandfather). She was at the time almost certainly referred to as Liedewei Doensd (daughter of Doen). I think the patronym Beijensz should not be used as surname, do I have a point here or do I fail to see a site-wide standard approach?

Aeskin is an example, there are probably more like her in the wikitree.

you certainly have a point Hans, I don't have an answer to offer though.
