About what percent of GEDCOM uploads do you estimate are successful?

I was browsing people who have said they have taken a DNA test and was surprised to see the large number who have the GEDCOM badge but have three or less contributions and no parents.  

It seems very unfortunate and I wonder what would be the most effective way to help them?

Peter, sometimes guests/volunteers will upload a gedcom, get the badge, and then delete the gedcom.

It took me over a year! It wouldn’t let me add any new ones until I was finished evaluating over 3000 matches.

Guests can upload their Gedcom before they volunteer and become full members, and by doing that can see if they have possible unfound ancestors, or family members already here :)

To populate their branches by that Gedcom, they would need to become a full member. Sometimes they do not choose to become full members and therefore their Gedcom would either be deleted by them or by default at a later date. However, the badge is automatically awarded when the Gedcom is first uploaded, so will show on the profile regardless :)
